About

I'm The Running Cat: a recreational runner with an office job and a habit of turning every race into a spreadsheet.

I run half marathons around Europe. My best so far is 1:42:05, in the rain in Valencia in 2024. Before each race I read the research, check years of race-day weather, and then test what I learned on my own legs. This blog is where I write it all down: race reports, small experiments and the data behind them.

I'm not a coach or a scientist. When I quote a study, I link it, so you can read it yourself.

I also built EuroSlam, a free calendar of European races with race-day weather, for planning the next trip.
